We are thrilled to announce that seven dedicated VMSC employees and volunteers have successfully completed a rigorous 32-hour training program to become certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPSTs). This certification process, offered by Safe Kids Worldwide, equips our team with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure the safety of child passengers in our community.
The training program was comprehensive, including both classroom and hands-on instruction. Our personnel learned the intricacies of child safety seat installation and inspection, ensuring they are well-prepared to assist parents and caregivers with the correct use of child restraint systems. This training covered a wide range of topics, including the different types of child safety seats, the importance of proper installation, and how to identify common installation errors. The hands-on sessions were particularly valuable, allowing our team to practice their skills under the guidance of experienced instructors.
