Today, we’re shining the spotlight on Allen Stewart, a dedicated EMT here at VMSC EMS team!
Allen’s journey into EMS wasn’t straightforward. After serving as a Deputy Sheriff for over a decade, he decided to pursue a career as a firefighter. Knowing that most departments required EMT certification, Allen attended EMT training at VMSC 12 years ago. To maintain his skills, he began working as an EMT part-time. What started as a way to stay proficient has turned into a fulfilling full-time career. Allen also serves as a part-time firefighter/EMT.
Allen loves working at VMSC, where he finds joy in every shift. The fantastic crew, abundant training opportunities, and high call volume keep him engaged and constantly learning. Experiencing a wide variety of calls has made Allen a stronger provider and inspired him to further his abilities by pursuing a paramedic certification.
Outside of work, Allen has a passion for photography, though he’s usually behind the camera capturing cool moments. He also enjoys cooking, trying new foods, and exploring car shows during the summer. When he’s not busy with these hobbies, you might find him exploring the Perkiomen Trail.
Thank you, Allen, for your dedication and enthusiasm. We’re grateful to have you as part of our VMSC family!
